Review
(Okay I know this one's too short guess I had just enough time to write this.)

I found the book great, an awesome piece of writing. I believe the author has done an incredibly beautiful job. The confrontation between Maxon and Aspen was dramatic in a good sense...Though i felt bad for Aspen. He was loyal to the end. (Sorry for the spoiler...He didn't die Lol!)
I still feel that America Singer's character could've been better and that she played both guys somehow which I didn't like. The ending was heartrending and concise to what I had expected. I would surely like to read more from the author...

Review:
The Book was all in all good, a bitter sweet stuff for me. I really wasn't expecting him to be the selected one, up till the end. I don't want to give away and spoilers hence the word 'him'
But seriously???
The plot was good, I was expecting a bit more of the action as in Maxon and America Singer's story but I was a little disappointed in that aspect. It was a sweet story in the end but somehow missing something for me!
Eadlynn was sweet and yes authoritative a great combination of characteristics.
Kile was my favourite among the selected, shown to be nice guy! Henry I felt a bit sorry for him with his inability to speak English but loved the way the author had shown that knowing or not knowing a language was not what Eadlynn saw in a person for choosing him for a life time.
Marid charming guy! where did he come up from? And I had my suspicions on him right from the beginning!
Overall I'd say
The book could've been a bit longer... but it was an okay read!

Review:
I liked book 2 But seems to me it's moving too slow...
America singer's character still remains unsure of what she wants, in other words it doesn't grow at all.
There are considerable differences in the Maxon's Character and I found it good!
The story line is great but again moving too slow...
Personally I don't like Aspen's character...though he shown to be the guy which many would sympathize with as we read the story...But he's hasn't done much to help with the other character's situation... let alone worsen it...
The story has a certain intrigue which I love But to me book 1 was better than book 2. Let's see how the third book is...

Book Review: The Selection (Book 1) by Kiera Cass

Date Read: 17-22 March-2017
Review:
"I found the book good to read, a fun-filled entertainment source...
The characters were great, I loved America singer and Prince Maxon's character.
Prince Maxon: though a pretty calmed down, down to earth behaviour for a prince that he had...I found him awesome...He was nice to the contestants, understanding and able to relate to the participant's situation.
America Singer: She was just good all in all.
I didn't like Aspen's character, I'm not sure why...
The story line: was good....But since the selection was hosted on TV (like a TV show) I didn't get much of the TV show feeling later on, as I read into the book.
The writing style: was okay, I mean unlike some books this was easy to read in a flow...
Overall: I loved the book, good enough to go to book 2

Review:

"So that is what the fuss was about!!! I had like a dozen recommendations there for this book!

Okay The first in the book series, Not too bad I must say, Fantasy is so my genre...esp. High fantasy.
The author has portrayed the story so well, It made me fall in love with the story, it felt as if I was really there. : The author's technique of writing is really good and I felt my imagination running all throughout the story.

The characters: I found the main character, Celaena Sardothien to be quite good honestly. Though I have to agree that there were times that she was way too complacent, I mean as an assassin of Adarlan, she was fetched of from Endovier and put into this contest and she had absolutely no say in it. She could have at least fought and shown some resistance to people trying to push her into the unknown situation.
Anyways I think it’s the author’s part to tell the story and when I am reading a book, I am not an author, I am a reader and my job is to read and enjoy the entertainment, For every author has a story to tell, and it is their story. As for Dorian, Chaol and Nehemia’s characters they were quite good too. I think the author has added quite a mystery to each character. The King has something up his sleeve I so doubt it. I’d like to see how these characters grow out through the series.
The story being interest I’d like to see how it turns out in book 2… I recommend it to anyone who loves to read fantasy, high fantasy. It certainly adds to the imagination. "
